My Mission

Mission Statement

“Promote health, wellness, and longevity through professional, sensible, and easy to follow fitness solutions that emphasize the importance of proper technique and functional range of motion to meet the specific requirements of each participating client.”

My Philosophy

I have been an active professional member of the health and fitness community for well over 20 years and my experiences have given me a wealth of knowledge and wisdom that I continue to share with others about the facts and myths of physical wellness. We live in a time that is dictated by the universality of a cyber database called the internet which gives users “the power of now” through mere keystrokes. As much as it is good to have useful information, too much information can have a negative effect as it can leave you overwhelmed with not knowing what is fact and what is fiction. You can debunk the myths and fads with my guidance. No I don’t believe in fad diets or ridiculous fitness routines that promise everything and deliver absolutely nothing. Even when they work, the gains are only short-term and are often offset by a landslide of negative repercussions. The most effective way to lose weight and keep it off is to allow the body time to adjust and conform to the new lifestyle changes. This is the reason why so many individuals fail. Short-term goals are only effective if they serve as smaller steps to a long-term commitment to health and fitness. I offer effective, efficient, and safe solutions that will stimulate physical wellness so that you can think better and react better, thus boosting your overall productivity while simultaneously rewarding you with the wonderful gift of longevity.

I will develop a fitness plan that best suits your needs and interests. It will be enjoyable and become part of your lifestyle. Exercise is not a quick fix. I will show you how to use exercise to nurture your body, not punish it. Exercise will give your body what it needs to be healthy and strong. I strongly feel that it vital for long-term fitness success to continually measure and reward your exercise efforts. With this in mind, as your fitness professional my goal is to:

1) Help you set realistic short and long-term goals;

2) Focus on your progress and help you let go of detrimental habits;

3) Help you focus on physical change indicators versus numbers on a scale;

4) Eliminate or minimize stressors that promote bad eating habits;

5) Make exercise fun and enjoyable;

6) Instill positive thoughts about yourself like “I can”, “I am”, “I will”;

7) Help you establish healthy food options;

8) Make exercise part of your life, not just a way to lose weight.

Fitness is more than just about a figure or a goal … it is about protecting and taking care of you, as you are your most valuable asset. Becoming fit affords you the energy and ability to be more productive in and out of the office space. Some say that wealth is power and I say that your health is your most important asset … therefore, wouldn’t it make sense to say that the two are synonymous? Wealth and health … taking care of one essentially takes care of the other.

    Eryk,
    I first saw you in body fitness magazine and you have really influenced me a lot. I’ve even bought your dvd, I had to get it from Australia and i live in the uk as couldn’t find it anywhere.
    Im only 16 but have been interested in bodybuilding for a long time, I am only 5′5″ like your self (dont see my self growing any more) so i really admire your physique and one day hope to have that much muscle on my frame.
    I’m doing well with my training, ive gone from 57kg december time up to 67kg. I’ve been told I have quite good genetics and am going to strive to compete naturally and still come out top. Im thinking about doing my first show next year before my 18th.
    anyway thanks for the inspiration, hope everything is good at your end.
    Joe.
